Easy Yummy Recipe

One of my favorite dishes to make is Taco Soup!!  I like making it because its super easy and it feeds at least 10 or more happy people:))  Its so delicious and usually we have leftovers so we can have it again for lunch the next day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans, with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans with liquid
  • 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, with liquid
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

Directions

  1. Cook the ground beef until browned over medium heat. Drain, and set aside.
  2. Place the ground beef, onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, green chile peppers and taco seasoning into a stockpot and let it cook while mixing it for about 15 minutes.
Total Time to make should be less than a half an hour!!!!!

Moving and Living in Apartments

Moving sucks period!  but moving from one apartment to the next sucks even more because of all the stairs:(  Then comes the packing... I hate having to organize and pack up everything I own into boxes and getting them ready for a moving truck.  It takes forever because first of all you don't want to loose anything so you try and keep all of YOUR things in the same boxes.  If your stuff gets put in with other people's stuff you have the chance of never finding it again!  Second of all you have to make sure you don't pack the boxes too heavy so your looking around trying to find a few heavy things that you can pack with light items so the boxes will be somewhat light without the chance that the heavy things won't break anything.

Then after getting everything packed its time to move it out!!!  With being on the 2nd floor of an apartment complex comes A LOT of stairs to be going up and down while getting everything out.  So...We got a little creative and used our dolly to move out several (six or seven) boxes at a time instead of one box at a time which actually saved some time:)) Then you have to worry about organizing all the items in the moving truck so nothing gets broken or ruined.  Plus getting everything to fit is a key goal!!  I really hate moving and we get to move again next year because we already  don't like living on the 1st floor due to all the many many types of bugs we have been seeing.

We thought living on the first floor would be so much better because the major issue with living on the 2nd and 3rd levels is the carrying up of all the groceries.  But little did we think about all the bugs you have to deal with being so close to the ground.  We have all types of spiders crawling around, ants, moths, dragonflys, beetles, you name it.  EWWW gross!  I woke up with about 12 bug bites and always feel like bugs are crawling on me!  We are going to see if this bug spray works but I doubt it will work all that well..  We'll just have to wait and see!!

Pole Dancing!

Ever wanted to try pole dancing but not wanted to be perceived as a stripper?  This was what I first thought when I heard about a dance studio down the street from my house that offered pole dancing.  I decided to check it out online and it actually looked pretty legit because the studio also offered other classes such as aerial silks, hip-hop, yoga, belly dancing, and many others plus the website came across very friendly.  I had been wanting to get involved with dance but had a hard time finding any classes offered just for adults, and I didn't want to be put in a class with a bunch of kids.  So after a couple days of thinking about it I decided to buy a membership!!

I was so excited I signed up for my first class that week:)  The very first class I took was intro to pole which was an hour long class.  When I got to the studio all the girls were very friendly and I made my first friend within five minutes of being there!  The instructer's name was Shayli and she was very upbeat and friendly!  I thought the class was so fun and the moves seemed pretty easy once they were shown and explained how to do them.

The next day after ONLY taking the one pole class I was actually sore!  I couldn't believe it because I was having so much fun I didn't really consider it working out... normally at the gym I would have had to do squats, lunges, and lift in reps until I would get that sore.  I loved intro to pole so much I couldn't wait to go back I was already planning which class I wanted to take next.

I know the majority of people still think that pole dancing is for strippers only but these dancers need recognition for how hard and strenuous of a workout it really is!!!  Pole dancing is evolving to pole fitness and is the fastest growing workout trend in the world.  Now more than ever people are getting involved with pole.  Groups from around the world such as International Sports Federation and many others are putting forth efforts to get pole fitness into the Olympics... Yeah thats right the OLYMPICS.
So next time you hear of someone pole dancing do not immediately think they are a stripper, there are some really great pole dancers out there that do not strip or take any clothes off.
