Best Places to Visit in Europe!

I recently visited Europe and had a blast! The first place I visited and would highly recommend anyone else traveling to Europe visit is Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Amsterdam is so full of life, both during the day and at night! There is so much to do and see including visit the Red Light District, see the Ann Frank House, or take a ride on a bicycle. Amsterdam is a big party town and can't possibly see all of this in just a few short days! If I ever go back I want to stay in Amsterdam longer.

The Next place we went to on our road trip through Europe was to Germany! We stopped in Heidelberg and visited the Heidelberg Castle. We followed the steps all the way up to the top which finally led us to the entrance of the castle. After we were done seeing the beautiful castle we went and looked through the "old town" and enjoyed a lunch at a restaurant called Vetter. This place had the best tasting beer I have ever had, oh! and the drinking age is only 18 over in Europe.

We then made our way to Munich the next day and had a tour of the city which included seeing the beer gardens that were famous for Germany! Later that night while in Munich a few of the girls from our group decided to go into a place called the Hofbrauhaus and order some beers because our tour guide told us we at least had to check it out! This place had some really good lemonade beer that I thought was so delicious and we all decided to order another mug of it:)

After spending two days in Germany we left for Switzerland and stayed in a city called Lucerne. Here we had a tour of the city and walked through the Chapel Bridge which was a very pretty wooden bridge first built in the 14th century. Another famous spot we visited was the Lion Monument found in a small park which was a huge carving of a dying lion which represented all the Swiss Guards who were massacred during the French Revolution. Before we left Switzerland we took a boat ride to the bottom of Mt. Pilatus and rode the railway all the way to the top! There we learned about the dragon story and how in the mideval times people thought a dragon lived on the Mountain.

Next came Italy!!! We made a three hour stop in Verona a little town known for the story of Romeo and Juliet. We enjoyed a lunch outside which was very relaxing and then toured the city. We stopped at one of the most popular places in Verona the balcony said to be Juliet's. There is a bronze statue of Juliet which is said to bring you a good love life if you go and grab the breast of the statue. We then got back on the bus and headed for Venice... After arriving in Venice we went on a guided tour through the small walkways of the city and saw Saint Marks square, Doge's Palace, and the Rialto Bridge. We then went on a gondola ride and cruised along the main canal.

Of coarse while in Europe you have to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris. We stood in the line and rode the lift to the second level and then the final lift all the way to the tip top of the Tower. This way an amazing view of France and am so glad and lucky I got the opportunity to do this. After we rode back down to the bottom the lights on the Eiffel Tower started going off and it was very nice to watch this for the few minutes it lasted. Later in the evening we took the metro to a French dinner where we enjoyed some wine and decided to take a night stroll of the streets in Paris! We got to see Moulin Rouge in the dark all lit up which was very beautiful and actually bought crepes on the corner of where the Moulin Rouge was!!

In the morning we rode our bus to the train station and purchased our tickets to London. This was a couple hour train ride! In London we took the famous red bus tours and also a walking tour. They had lots of free museums to look at! They had the Harry Potter Museum and the Beatles Walking Tour. I thought London was awsome and wished I could have stayed longer in each of the cities I visited while in Europe!!
